Select one of your images that show a fast shutter speed.
Dice in the Air
Approximately what shutter speed did you use to freeze action?
1/125
What action did you freeze? (Describe).
The dice and fuzzy objects flying in the air.
What was your distance, and point of view for the photo?
Fairly close and straight on.
Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, contrast...)
The rule of thirds because not all the objects are in the middle but to one side and the image has a lot of strong colors.
Select one of your images that show a slow shutter speed.
The Globe
Approximately what shutter speed did you use to purposely blur action?
1/4
What motion, or part of the image shows blur? (Describe).
The globe it self is blurry because of the its spinning motion.
What was your distance, and point of view for the photo?
Not too-close, taken straight on.
Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, contrast.
One line is created going through the center of the globe and the negative space not moving emphasizes he motion in the globe

Painting with Light
Changing Hue and Saturation: Before and After
Painting with Light Written Reflection:
Describe one of your photos from painting with light.
Photo(1) it is a bunch of circles and lines crossing each other.
What shutter speed did you have the camera on?
Several seconds long roughly.
What light source did you use to create the painting?
String lights moving in a circular motion.
How did you achieve the image/effect?
Spinning string lights in a circle over a period time.
What impact does the photo have? How would the viewer feel looking at your photo?
The irregularities in the circles create an interesting image and the saturation of the colors catch the eye of anyone who sees it and the circles lead the eyes to the center of the image and brings interest to the image.

Aperture
Reflection Questions:
Select one of your images that show a shallow depth of field.
Picture 3
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a shallow depth of field?
low f-stop (ex. 5)
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
Iso was 100 and WB was auto.
Discuss one of your images that show a large depth of field.
Picture 5
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a large depth of field?
high f-stop (ex. 36)
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
Iso is 200 and WB is auto.
Which photo is better? Why?
Picture 5 because it is follows the rule of thirds and has good negative space.
Why would you want to use a shallow depth of field?
To focus in and draw attention on a specific object.
When/in what situation would a large depth of field be better?
When you want to capture a landscape or multiple subjects.
